2nd Operation Ultra 24-hour run

Kingwood, West Virginia
9 November 2013
The course is a 1.1-mile loop. I ran 25 laps to complete the marathon distance, plus a little.

With race director Jim Lostroscio after I finished. The race supports Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, www.iava.org

The course passes through the site for Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) on the training site.

From the MOUT area through the woods and along the Cheat River.

Below: the Alpine Lake Resort in Terra Alta, 13 miles from the race site. I stayed in a motel across from the lodge. The resort has seen better days.
