Announces the 27th Annual Run, With Picnic to Follow

Schedule: John Bunce Memorial Run, Noon, Near Watkins Health Center, Campus

Picnic, 4:30 p.m., Home of Pam and Doug Houston

The run will have its usual format: three or four miles; slower runners start first with the goal of having all runners finish at the same time. Water will be available on the course and soft drinks at the finish.

The picnic will consist of barbecued beef, turkey, and ham. Buns, condiments, and eating utensils will be provided. Each family should bring a side dish, such as potato salad, beans, vegetables, or dessert. Those who don’t cook may bring chips and dips, a favorite refreshment, or something similar. Soft drinks will be provided.

Feel free to bring grandparents, children or grandchildren, and visiting friends.

COST: Mad Dogs $10; Spouse/partner/guest/etc $5; Kids under 6, free

Directions to picnic: From Lawrence, go east on K-10 to County Road 1900 (between water-skiing lake and par 3 golf course). Turn south two miles to N 1150 Road, then west one mile to 1807 N 1150 Rd. Driveway is on the south side of road.
